Strening Architects defines design as being about placemaking and the craft of building. Design decisions are made through the articulation of ideas that respond to a particular set of contextual parameters. This responsive design process is what leads to appropriate, timeless and beautiful places.
Founder, Daniel J. Strening, grew up just north of Chicago, IL – a city that influenced his belief in the importance of Architecture. He has since had the good fortune of living, working and studying in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and running his own Architectural practice in Sonoma County for the past 15 years. He brings this breadth of cultural experience to bear on all of his design projects.
In their practice - Architecture is best understood and pursued as the union of art, culture, technology and environmental stewardship.
